Inner Rail Food Hall at Aksarben Village

This Insights article will focus on the Inner Rail Food Hall, which opened in 2019. The name is a tribute to the Aksarben horse racing track that occupied the grounds until it closed in 1995. The Inner Rail Food Hall is in the Aksarben Village area and is located in the first floor of the parking garage behind the HDR building. At the time of writing the Inner Rail included The Backstretch Bar (another nod to the areas horse racing past) and had the following nine food vendors to choose from:

With the wide variety of foods, the Inner Rail is a great place to go if you are not sure what you want to eat or if you are with a group of people that cannot choose a single restaurant. The Inner Rail has ample indoor and outdoor seating. The Plaza between the HDR building and the Inner Rail is one of two certified entertainment districts in Omaha that allow patrons to carry open containers throughout the space. In addition to the outdoor tables for eating, there are outdoor games, fire pits, and lounge furniture that can make for a great night out with friends! If you decide to eat at the Inner Rail, it is in the Aksarben Village area that offers plenty of shopping and entertainment opportunities.

Even if you are not up for going out and just want some delicious food, the Inner Rail offers take out or delivery from any combination of vendors through online ordering on their web site. The Aksarben Village area has ample free parking, and the parking garages have signage that let you know how many stalls are available.
